You may have seen recent news reports about the increasing number of lithium-ion batteries catching fire and causing devastating damage. Our CBD client wanted to ensure they minimised this risk when cleaning equipment is being charged in their building. To address this risk, we recently installed a lithium-ion battery charging and storage cabinet.
The cabinet features individually insulated compartments rated to withstand temperatures up to 1,300 degrees Celsius, along with cooling fans to help maintain a safe temperature and reduce the chance of thermal runaway. Lithium-ion batteries can explode due to overcharging, faulty or damaged batteries, or exposure to high temperatures that trigger thermal runaway.
Have you considered they risk they could pose to your building?
